Advice For cleaning

The biggest piece of advice I can give is, if you clean someones city please write on their wall. Many people are more than happy to clean back, unless they don't know you cleaned. The news feed only keeps the last 10, and many of the higher level player have more than 10 cleans before they can check. It's not that they ignored you. They just did not know you stopped by.

For new players, you might wonder the terms (Glossary) that we use in City Story.

cyc = cleaned your city
wyc = washed your city
c = cleaned (some players simply use this)
b = back
cycb = clean your city back
cmc = clean my city
ntc/full = nothing/none to clean, full
bbl = be back later
tyfc = thank you for cleaning
tyvm = thank you very much
nbr = neighbor
cyf = cleaned your factories
lol = laugh out loud
OMG = Oh! MY God!
TGIF= Thank God It's Friday!

A lot of new players always wonder how to get city cash. There are only three ways that I know of:

1. Buy them from team lava.
2. Download the games that team lava want you to download.
3. Upon completion of level 2 of your factory contract, you will get one city cash.

For those players who like to have rivers, do not bother wasting 3 city cash on it. Just concentrate on your contract. Once you master level 4 of each contract, you will get a river.

New players might be wondering why a lot of the more senior players had buildings that not found in residence or business in the "BUILD" category. Well, they are from the cases that team lava created. These cases require city cash. And it is like a lucky draw, you might get the same item (could all be level 4) ten times in a row. They are not cheap! If you really want them and not hurt your pocket so much, you can get city cash when team lava put them on sales. There will be discount on the cases as well. So if you are able to get your itunes card at a discount, grab the city cash on a special and get onto the cases when they are on sales, it might not cost as much then. For example:

20% off itunes card. You pay $8 for a $10 card.
10% off city cash. You pay $10 (from your itunes card) for 48 city cash
30% off Cases. You used 16 city cash instead of 24 for each try.
so instead of $6=24city cash=1 case, you get $8=48 city cash=3 cases

If you are still a student, watch your spending. You might spent hundreds even thousands before you know it!! ENJOY!!

Also beware of your cleaned factories. Sometimes the cleans will not show up, and if you collect your factories you will not get the credit for the cleans.

One way to make sure is to clean someone elses city and leave a message. When you come back to you city it will reset and show all the cleaned buildings.
